Winfield: It was a war
Defender Dave Winfield was pleased with the battling qualities Wycombe displayed during the goalless draw with Oxford.
Chairboys goalkeeper Nikki Bull produced an inspired display to deny their local rivals a first win since returning to the Football League
Winfield told the Buckinghamshire Examiner: "It was definitely a battle and it was one of those games where you had to get stuck in. But you have to be prepared to go to war sometimes.
"In the second half they came out all guns blazing. I don't know if they got a kick up the bum at half-time but they really worked us after the break. We had to battle through it."
