Waddock waiting on trialists

Wycombe boss Gary Waddock will wait until next week to make a final decision on the trialists that impressed him during Tuesday night's 3-0 friendly win over Chesham United. Former Brentford and Millwall defender Mark Phillips caught the eye, while full-backs Netan Sansara and Marvin McCoy enjoyed 45 minute run outs. Waddock told the Buckinghamshire Examiner: "Phillips is an experienced player. We are always looking for good players to take the club forward. Early on it was difficult because of the way Chesham played but he settled in well. "They will all be here this week and I will possibly make a decision after the game at Hayes & Yeading on Saturday." A number of other players made their Chairboys bows, including Kieran Murtagh who netted the third goal, but Waddock was reluctant to single out individuals. "Everybody will talk about the new signings but it is the whole group," he added. "We are pleased with the new signings but also pleased with the whole group. It is all about fitness at this stage and we had to cover some ground."
