Waddock pleased to see off away-day specialists

Wycombe manager Gary Waddock was delighted with his side's 2-1 win over Cheltenham. Wanderers moved into a 2-0 lead thanks to goals either side of half-time from Ben Strevens and Gareth Ainsworth before Wesley Thomas pulled a goal back for Cheltenham. Waddock said: "It's a great result - obviously when we went 2-0 up and they scored quite soon afterwards, the momentum was with them for a period of time. "They are a good side and they caused us problems not so long ago which is because of their formation and their system but I thought we dealt with that reasonably well tonight. "They've had some good results and credit to them - their away form is excellent so obviously we're pleased we could get the result. I'm delighted that Ben (Strevens) got on the scoresheet tonight - he's a good pro. "I was pleased with his performance and `Gazza' (Gareth Ainsworth) has scored again but yet again everybody has played a part and I'm pleased with the whole group."
