Waddock delighted to pick up points
Wycombe boss Gary Waddock was thrilled with his side's performance following their 1-0 win at Macclesfield and even praised Dave Winfield, despite the defender's dismissal.
Veteran midfielder Gareth Ainsworth wrapped up the points for the Chairboys after volleying home from Winfield's flick-on.
However, Winfield, along with Macclesfield duo Emile Sinclair and Ricky Sappleton, were dismissed following a violent 22-man fight.
Waddock said: "I'm delighted that we've come to such a tough place as Macclesfield, battled hard and taken three points while keeping a clean sheet.
"The fans have been magnificent, they came out on such a cold day and have given us every bit of support.
"David's sending off took away from a magnificent performance by him, he was a giant for us."
