Wycombe remain unbeaten away this season after beating Burton 2-1, but the win at the Pirelli Stadium particularly pleased manager Gary Waddock. Wanderers ended Albion`s unbeaten home record in League Two but were made to work hard for their fourth successive victory. Captain Gareth Ainsworth opened the scoring with a superb 30-yard shot for his 100th league goal. Andy Sandell extended the lead with an equally good free-kick. "I thought we were excellent in the first half. The way we played in the first half, closed down and pressed was extremely good and that gave us large chunks of the possession," said Waddock. "We topped it off with two amazing goals - and what a fantastic way for Gareth Ainsworth to get his 100th league goal. Andy Sandell has then followed it with another goal from a free kick - his third this season. "I thought we defended our lead extremely well. They had the momentum of pulling a goal back but we saw the game out." Waddock added: "It has been a good week for us and to top it off by beating a very good Burton side, who were unbeaten at home, is very pleasing. We have been very strong away from home this season but this one was particularly pleasing because Burton put us under a lot of pressure second half."
