Waddock bemoans profligacy

Wycombe boss Gary Waddock hit out at his side's profligacy after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Northampton. Andy Sandell's free-kick put the Chairboys in front but Scott Rendell and Ben Strevens failed to double their lead before Kevin Thornton's late penalty earned a point for Northampton. "We got ourselves into a great position but when teams are only 1-0 down they always have the belief that they can get back into the game," said Waddock. "We had two very good chances to make it 2-0 and if either had gone in I'm sure we would have gone on to win the game. "We should have more points on the board but we're still unbeaten and it's another good point away from home, because it's always going to be difficult at teams like Northampton. "We've got to be more clinical in the final third and I'm a bit frustrated that we didn't win it but it's a clumsy challenge which has cost us two points in the end."
