Rendell maintains 20-goal aspiration

Wycombe striker Scott Rendell believes he is beginning to show the form that will see him reach his 20-goal target this season. The 24-year-old, who joined the club from Peterborough in the summer for £125,000, initially struggled at Adams Park, only finding the target twice in his first 11 games. But he has since found his scoring knack and has now netted seven in his last eight appearances. Rendell told the Buckinghamshire Examiner: "The chances are coming and I think the goals will keep coming. "No-one likes to play games now and then. I said when I signed that I set my target at 20 and I don't feel like I need to adjust that and I think I can reach that target. "I have scored six in the last three games. Hopefully I can step up to the plate and I feel more confident now."
