Rendell looks for Bantams starting berth

Wycombe striker Scott Rendell is pushing for a start when former manager Peter Taylor brings his Bradford side to Adams Park. Rendell was handed a chance to impress in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash with Bristol Rovers in midweek and seized it as he hit a hat-trick. However, Wycombe were smashed 6-3 by the Pirates and manager Gary Waddock is likely to make sweeping changes. Chris Westwood, Andy Sandell, Gareth Ainsworth and Lewis Montrose were all given the night off in midweek but should return while Dave Winfield is back from a one-match ban. Midfielder Scott Davies injured his groin in the FA Cup win at Hayes & Yeading last weekend and is back with parent club Reading while striker Jon-Paul Pitman is out until next year with a knee injury. Taylor guided Wanderers to promotion in 2009 and should be handed a warm reception.
