Former Wycombe winger Matty Phillips believes that the Chairboys accepted less money to allow him to play in the top flight. Phillips joined Barclays Premier League new boys Blackpool on transfer deadline day in August for an initial fee of £375,000 and the winger is grateful for the League Two club`s assistance. He said: "Playing in the Premier League was the big thing for me and I'm grateful to Wycombe for helping me to get my move. "I believe that the club had a better offer from a Championship club but the owner and the manager always said they would look after me and they did just that."
