Hayes: Community stadium is vital

Wycombe and London Wasps owner Steve Hayes believes providing a new community stadium in the city is key to the future of both clubs. The two clubs announced back in March they would work together with Wycombe District Council to push forward the idea of a new community stadium and associated sports facilities. Members of the council are due to meet on Monday to review important technical and feasibility work carried out by the planning and sustainability team within the council. Wanderers have since stated on their official website they are "very clear about the desire to improve facilities for supporters, players, staff, the community and everyone else who has an interest". Hayes has also issued a statement on behalf of both clubs saying: "Delivering our vision for the new stadium and related sports facilities is something we intend to do properly and in full consultation with the local authority, our supporters and all of the people who can help us to build an even more successful future."
