Donnelly's patience pays off

Wycombe midfielder Scott Donnelly is looking to push forward after netting his first goal of the campaign. The 23-year-old, who is on loan from Swansea, netted the equaliser in Wanderers' draw with Port Vale at the weekend in his first start since August. "It has been a long time coming," he told the Buckinghamshire Examiner. "I was telling the lads in the changing room before the game that I felt like I was going to score. It would have been nice for it to have been the winner. "I am still a little bit off my match fitness so hopefully now I can get more minutes, kick on and get some more goals. "It has been hard but I have had no complaints really. I have had to bide my time because the lads have been fantastic."
