First win of season for Daggers

Dagenham and Redbridge got themselves off the mark with their first win of the season as they cruised to a 3-0 victory against fellow strugglers Wycombe.

John Still's men went in front midway through the first half when Sam Williams played the ball into Dwight Gayle's path and he made no mistake in sweeping the ball past Jordan Archer.

Michael Spillane missed a great chance for Dagenham, before finally doubling the hosts' lead from the penalty spot just before the hour mark.

The referee spotted a handball close to the line and Spillane slotted home the resultant penalty kick.

Managerless Wycombe offered little going forward and Dagenham's win was wrapped up a minute from time when Spillane teed up Billy Bingham and he made no mistake with a rising shot into the top corner.

Matt Spring had the visitors' best chance of the second half, but he screwed a disappointing shot wide from close range.
