Wycombe manager Gary Waddock lauded his players' performance after they secured a "fantastic" 2-0 victory over League One Colchester to move into the Johnstone's Paint Trophy quarter finals. Kevin Betsy fired Wanderers into a 75th-minute lead, before turning provider for Scott Davies six minutes later, much to the delight of Waddock. "We performed well against a Colchester side that have started the league campaign extremely well," he said. "This is a hard place to come to and they put us under a hell of a lot of pressure with a lot of balls and crosses into the box. "But we coped with that and we came away with a fantastic result. "We were playing against players who are in League One, but we stuck with it and we stayed in there and we were very pleased with that. "We went close a couple of times with offside decisions in the first half and it was a very open game that was end to end at times. They got a lot of crosses into our box and we dealt with them well."
