Wycombe midfielder Gareth Ainsworth has defended the fans' right to boo the team.
The Chairboys were showered with criticism at the weekend in the 2-1 home defeat to Macclesfield but Ainsworth believes the crowd have the right to vent their feelings.
He said: "They have the right to boo the team when they want and not one of the players can say we didn't deserve to be booed because we lost the game.
"Hopefully we can turn them into cheers next week. The lads are really, really gutted and it is probably the worst feeling we have had this season so far.
"We can't be losing our home games if we want to finish where we want to finish."
