Evans missing for Dragons

Wrexham will be without Robbie Evans for Saturday's FA Cup second round tie with Maidstone due to suspension.

The midfielder starts a three-match ban for being sent off for a challenge on Matty Taylor in Tuesday's goalless draw with Bristol Rovers.

Goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann made an earlier-than-expected return from a knee injury when making his first appearance for two months in midweek.

Fellow shot-stopper Andy Godlin is still sidelined, but on-loan full-back James Pearson should be free to play after parent club Leicester asked for him to be rested against the Pirates.

Ryman Premier outfit Maidstone could welcome back captain Steve Watt for the trip to the Racecourse Ground.

The 29-year-old centre-half missed the first-round replay win over Stevenage with a thigh injury and also sat out league games against Met Police and VCD Athletic.

However, manager Jay Saunders has warned he will treat Watt's condition with caution for fear of him suffering a recurrence of that strain ahead of some crucial league matches.

Midfielder Jack Parkinson misses out as he serves a one-match suspension for being booked five times this term.
