Wrexham defender Carl Tremarco had decided to stay with the Red Dragons even though they will be playing Blue Square Premier League football next season.
The 22-year-old former Tranmere Rovers player, who moved to the Racecourse Ground in January, has penned a two-year deal with Brian Little's side.
"I'm happy to be staying," Tremarco told Wrexham's official website. "In the time I've been here I've enjoyed it - at least the time when I was fit and playing.
"The players who were here then were a good set of lads and, while there's been a big turnover this summer, I'm sure the manager will bring in players who can do a job for the club."
