Midfielder tips Dragons to roar

Wrexham midfield man Matt Crowell says the team spirit is good at the Racecourse Ground and is confident they will put their recent poor run of form behind them.

The Red Dragons have lost four of their last five League Two outings and Saturday's 3-0 hammering at Hartlepool also meant they have conceded 15 goals in that period of time.

Boss Denis Smith revealed the poor run has placed his position at the club under threat, but 22-year-old Crowell is confident they will soon get back to winning ways and move up the table.

He said: "It's tough at the moment. I don't know what to say. The lads are down but we're all sticking together.

"The staff and players know that we're all in it together but it's just not working at the moment. We can't put our fingers on it, but we'll get it right, we'll definitely get it right.

"Maybe we're not playing as well as we can but if we can just cut out the silly little mistakes, life would be a lot easier. By making mistakes we're putting ourselves on the back foot straight away - it's difficult."
