Little wields the axe

Wrexham manager Brian Little has wasted no time in pruning his squad in readiness for life in the Blue Square Premier next season.

The Red Dragons' relegation from League Two was confirmed on Tuesday with the 2-0 defeat at Hereford United.

Little has decided to release Phil Bolland, Josh Johnson, Mark Jones and Jeff Whitley, while also making Sam Aiston, Richard Hope, Michael Proctor, Silvio Spann and Anthony Williams available for transfer.

Meanwhile, loanees Drewe Broughton, Richard Duffy, Paul Hall, Stuart Nicholson and Danny Sonner will not be handed permanent contracts at the Racecourse Ground.
