Dragons snap up McEvilly

Wrexham manager Denis Smith has bolstered his strikeforce by capturing Accrington Stanley's former Rochdale striker Lee McEvilly.

The 23-year-old Northern Ireland international scored 15 goals for Accrington in the Conference last term as John Coleman's side just missed out on the play-offs.

McEvilly started his career with Burscough and moved to Spotland in a £20,000 deal in December 2001.

He scored 25 goals in 55 League starts and 30 more appearances from the substitute's bench for Dale before moving to Accrington last summer.
