Wrexham have agreed a deal to sign centre-half Richard Hope, following his release by Shrewsbury Town.
The 28-year-old stopper has agreed a three-year contract at the Racecourse Ground and just needs to pass a medical to seal his switch.
Dragons first-team coach Steve Weaver told the club's official website: "To learn that he was available got us thinking and we made contact to see if he was would think about coming here.
"Despite some real interest from a number of other clubs, I'm delighted to say that he set his mind on signing for us.
"Although he spoke to several teams, he just wanted to get the paperwork sorted out as quickly as possible."
The Red Dragons have also snapped up Rhyl Town midfielder Conall Murtagh, despite the 21-year-old having previously agreed terms to join Southport.
