Wrexham midfielder Danny Williams has stated that the club should seek inspiration from last season's relegation battle to avoid losing their Football League status this term.

A win against Boston United on the last day of last season at the Racecourse kept the Dragons up, while the visitors where relegated.

Williams told the BBC: "A lot of the lads here were involved last season, the points are still there for us to stay up and it's down to us to get the wins."

With seven games to go, Wrexham are rock bottom of League Two, eight points adrift of safety and have even less points than they did at the same stage last season.

Even so, manager Brian Little has refused to give on the challenge of staying in League football.

He added: "We won't give up, we can't give up, It was difficult after the midweek loss at Mansfield, but when we got back into training we quickly focused on what we need to do.

"We feel that we have been the equal of most sides we've faced, but we've committed foolish mistakes and have been lacking in front of goal.

"The determination, commitment and team spirit are still there, no doubt."
