Wrexham defender Ryan Valentine is looking forward to the new season following the arrival of five new players at the Racecourse Ground.
Red Dragons boss Brian Carey has added Michael Proctor, Anthony Williams, Eifion Williams, Richard Hope and Conall Murtagh to his ranks since the end of last season and Valentine isn't expecting another term in which they flirt with relegation.
"It doesn't matter if you spent the previous season battling at the bottom, or you have been promoted into a new league, every club starts the year looking for promotion and we are no different," he told the Wrexham Evening Leader.
"Last season was difficult but we finished on a high, and over the pre-season Brian (Carey) has added to the squad with five new players.
"We already know what Michael Proctor and Anthony Williams can do, while I don't really know much about the other three players.
"Obviously I have come up against Eifion Williams and Richard Hope in matches against them but I don't really know them on a personal level, although I am sure they will make good additions to the squad.
"Hopefully Eifion will score a lot of goals for us and Richard Hope can help keep them out."
