Wrexham hope to be able to bring MK Dons striker Drewe Broughton back to the Racecourse Ground for the rest of the season.
The much-travelled 29-year-old forward made five appearances for the Red Dragons after joining Brian Little's side on loan last month.
He played in Saturday's goalless draw with Grimsby Town only to return to Paul Ince's side and feature as a substitute in the Dons' Johnstone's Paint Trophy success against Swansea City 48 hours later.
However, reports suggest Ince will allow Broughton to return to Wrexham and he could play in Tuesday's League Two clash Peterborough United.
If he does it will be his third game in four days.
