Tunisia World Cup 2006

Country - Tunisia
Capital City - Tunis
Continent - Africa
Manager - Roger Lemerre

How did they qualify - Despite losing one of their games Tunisia managed to top their group leading by one clear point. With a total of 21 points Tunisia qualified once more for the finals of the world cup 2006, Germany. Tunisia had to play matches against Morocco, Guinea, Kenya, Malawi and Botswana.

Since the team were formed they had not entered into the competition until 1962 but failed to qualify, 1966 shortly after entering they withdrew from the competition. In 1978, 1998 and 2002 the team managed to qualify for the finals but were knocked out in round one of all three.

The team seem to have improved their game somewhat and took home the title of the African nations cup in 2004. The team look to be in good form and are hoping that they reach a better position than in previous years.
