How did they qualify - Mexico eased through the first qualifying round annihilating Dominica 8-0 and 10-0. In the second qualifying round Mexico cruised through 6 points clear of second placed Trinidad and Tobago. The third qualifying round proved slightly more challenging finishing second in their group behind the USA on goal difference, however they finished 6 points clear of the play-off places capping off an impressive qualifying campaign. They can now look forward to the World Cup finals in Germany 2006.
