Wolves secure friendly win at Charleroi

Wolves secured their third pre-season victory in eight days as they won 2-1 at Charleroi on Saturday evening. It was 0-0 at half-time in Belgium and Wolves boss Mick McCarthy opted to make eight changes at the break with all of his squad looking to improve their match sharpness. The Premier League side moved ahead in the 52nd minute as Greg Halford's long throw was headed home by Kevin Doyle. Charleroi were only behind for seven minutes as Alessandro Cordaro's low cross was turned home by Ederson Tormena. However, the visitors had the last word when another long throw from Halford caused panic in the home side's box and David Edwards struck from close-range.
