Wolves hopeful over Kightly

Wolves manager Mick McCarthy is hoping Michael Kightly will recover from a hamstring strain in time for their next Championship game.

Kightly missed last weekend's 3-1 defeat at Swansea after picking up the injury against Reading on September 30.

The in-form winger was expected to be out of action for around four weeks, but McCarthy hopes he will now be available for the October 18 visit of Coventry City.

"I'm hopeful that Kights will be ready for full training with us on Monday," he said.

"That's what we're looking towards.

"It will be good to get him and some of the Irish lads back with us to start preparing for the Coventry game and then the other lads will join in when they return from the other internationals."
