Wolves halve asking price

Wolves' owner Sir Jack Hayward has halved the price he is asking for the club from £40million to £20million.

The multi-millionaire has been looking to sell the Championship outfit for a number of months without any success and has decided to drop his asking price dramatically.

"I have always said that if someone comes in with some money we would be prepared to sell," he told the club's official website.

"Originally we asked for £40million but maybe now we would sell if someone came in with £20million to invest in the club.

"If they could promise that investment for team strengthening, we would be prepared to listen."

Hayward has also urged former Portsmouth owner Milan Mandaric - linked with £25million takeover of Leicester City - to get in touch with a view to buying Wolves.

"If Milan Mandaric would like to talk to me I would like to talk to him," he added.
