Wolves close in on Edwards

Wolves are on the verge of completing the signing of Luton Town's Wales international David Edwards.

The 21-year-old midfielder is about to seal a move to Molineux after Town's administrators accepted a bid believed to be in the region of £675,000.

Edwards only moved to Kenilworth Road from Shrewsbury Town last summer and scored four times in his 26 appearances for the Hatters.

"We've agreed terms with the administrators at Luton Town for David Edwards, but the player has not yet signed," Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey told the club's official website.

Wolves snapped up Plymouth Argyle striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake earlier this week.
