Trio offered cut-price Pennant deal
Real Zaragoza have reportedly offered Wolves, Wigan and West Ham the chance to sign winger Jermaine Pennant for a cut-price £2million. The former Liverpool, Arsenal and Birmingham star is not in the Spanish side's plans for the new season and a move back to the Premier League looks likely. Wolves manager Mick McCarthy is thought to be weighing up a bid as he looks to increase competition for places at Molineux, but is yet to be fully convinced about the winger after he failed to score in 25 games last season for Zaragoza. Zaragoza are also reported to have been in contact with Latics, who are managed by their former midfielder Roberto Martinez, and West Ham, with reports suggesting Pennant would be keen on a move back to the capital.
