Sylv's fighting fit again - McCarthy
Ebanks-Blake was due to play 90 minutes for Wolves reserves against Aston Villa on Wednesday night. The 23-year-old played the second half of last weekend's 1-0 home defeat by Portsmouth in the Premier League, having also appeared from the bench in the previous games against Fulham and Sunderland. In addition, the former Plymouth Argyle frontman played for two-thirds of the Carling Cup tie at Manchester United. McCarthy will monitor Ebanks-Blake in midweek in the hope he can show the kind of scoring form which saw him plunder 25 goals last season, and lead the line at Everton when the league programme resumes. "Sylvan will be fine to play for 90 minutes now," McCarthy told the Shropshire Star. "He'll play in the reserves tonight. "I thought when he came on against Portsmouth, he looked hungry for it. We're just missing the final ball or final pass."
