The forward is now a huge hit with Mick McCarthy's men following his move from Plymouth in January last year and, after netting 24 goals so far this term, again leads the race as he bids to win back-to-back Golden Boot awards. Ebanks-Blake, who was recently named FourFourTwo Coca-Cola Championship player of the year at the 2009 Football League Awards, told the Coca-Cola Football League Podcast: "I've seen it happen to a lot of the boys who I used to play with. "For me when I left Man United it was never a case of taking a step down it was more of an opportunity for me because I was playing reserve team football and I went in to the first team so you can't really compare the two. It was a good experience. "The first manager who took me to Plymouth, Ian Holloway, he was brilliant with me, giving me time to settle and get my head together and get my game together and he and Gary Penrice and the rest of the staff helped me along. "It's helped me to achieve what I'm achieving now so it's been good."
