Moxey warns against pitch invasion

The Football Association have revealed they are investigating the incidents that marred Saturday's 1-1 draw at Oakwell when Wolves fans twice invaded the pitch upon securing their top-of-the-table finish. The invasions, which followed on from the scenes witnessed following the promotion-clinching victory over QPR, saw one fan jump on the back of Wolves boss Mick McCarthy, another rob Kyel Reid of his shirt and another allegedly slap Barnsley's Bobby Hassell in the face. Plans are in place for champions Wolves to be handed the silverware after Sunday's home encounter against Doncaster, but Moxey insists a repeat of what has happened over the last week or so will put pay to that. "We know this is a very happy time for our supporters, we all have plenty to celebrate," the chief executive told the club's official website. "But we want to celebrate in the right manner, something our players weren't able to do at Barnsley. "If anyone encroaches onto the pitch at any stage on Sunday there will be no public presentation of the Championship trophy, no presentation of the fans' player of the season award and no lap of honour."
