Moxey trying to stay 'smart and calm'

Despite reports claiming the club have withdrawn their interest in signing Oguchi Onyewu from Standard Liege, Moxey insists they are pleased with the progress that is being made in the transfer market. He told the Express and Star: "We are where we expected to be and, as things stand, we are quite optimistic about the outlook. "I said at the outset that we would have to stay smart and calm." Legend Steve Bull, meanwhile, believes home form will hold the key to Wolves' fortunes in the Premier League next season. The former England striker insists Wolves must make Molineux a fortress and cites the example of Stoke's Premier League survival this year along with the exploits of Wimbledon's 'crazy gang' in the 1990s. Bull told the Birmingham Mail: "Molineux can be a daunting place to come to but at times we have made it too easy for teams - and I'm not just talking about on the pitch but off it. "We should be giving the visiting teams cold taps in the showers - anything to make it tough for them! The top teams are used to comfort but we have got to get ruthless now and make us hard to beat here. "If you look at Stoke this year they have bought players on average wages but they can hold their own in the Premier League. They have done it and sustained their top flight status."
