Miserable Madejski return for Doyle

Reading ensured Kevin Doyle made a losing return to the Madejski Stadium as they beat Wolves 2-1 in a pre-season friendly. The former Royals number nine received a terrific ovation as the teams were read out before kick-off but could only watch on as a penalty from Gylfi Sigurdsson and a close-range strike from Michail Antonio put Brian McDermott's side 2-0 ahead. David Jones pulled a goal back for the Premier League side late on but they were to fall to their first pre-season loss.
