Wolves manager Mick McCarthy lambasted his players following their 2-0 FA Cup fifth round defeat at Cardiff City on Saturday.
McCarthy's side were 2-0 down at Ninian Park after just 11 minutes and rarely looked like getting back into the game against their Championship rivals.
McCarthy told the club's official website: "I felt sorry for the fans. It was as bad a performance as we've given all season.
"The fans outside were giving the players stick getting warmed down and they thoroughly deserved it, we were very poor.
"Being 1-0 down after one minute 30 seconds doesn't help and that's been the case in three out of the last four games.
"So that had a real effect on the game of course and being 2-0 down after ten minutes. They were able to sit back and defend it and they did it well. They were far better than we were.
"Do you think I enjoyed watching that, do you think it shouldn't be a concern when we have just played as badly as that? Of course it's a concern."
