Jackie McNamara is battling back from his long-term knee injury and hopes to return to action for Wolves before the season is out.
The 32-year-old, who only arrived at the club from Celtic in the summer, has been out since September after suffering a cruciate knee ligament injury, and was expected to miss the remainder of the campaign.
However, the player is stepping up his recovery and hopes to be fit for a late promotion push.
McNamara said: "The longest I'd been out before this was eight weeks, and it's now been 18 weeks since the operation.
"I am just at the frustrating point now where I feel good and I think I could go on and do more, but I have to hold back.
"I have always been hopeful that I would play some part in this season again and that is my aim."
