McCarthy wants Mancienne stay

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Mick McCarthy is keen to try and bring loanee Michael Mancienne back to Molineux next season. The 22-year-old Chelsea defender has impressed for Wolves, especially since being pushed forward into an unfamiliar defensive midfield role by McCarthy. The Wolves boss told the Express & Star: "If he continues playing like this with us then maybe he will stay with us next season. "He's getting a great education with us and doing a really good job, but I don't feel he's a Chelsea midfielder yet. "I think he's turning into a good Premier League midfielder, but is he going to win the Premier League or the Champions League playing there? Because that's what Chelsea want. "But he's a quality player who Chelsea signed on a good, long contract and I was lucky I could get him out on loan. "It's up to Chelsea because we've got to see how they feel. If they want him back then they can, because he's their player."
