McCarthy not dispirited following loss

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy is not about to throw in the towel, despite seeing his side fall to the bottom of the Premier League table with a 2-0 loss at West Ham.Avram Grant's side went ahead when Ronald Zubar scored an own goal at the start of the second half and though Sylvan Ebanks-Blake hit the woodwork as Wolves rallied, Freddie Sears rammed home Tal Ben Haim's cross to haul the Hammers off the bottom. However, with with his side still only two points behind the 15th-placed Hammers, McCarthy knows all is not lost.He said: "We are two points from safety and as far as I am aware we are not getting relegated in the morning."We are scrapping away and we played well enough. We have to just keep playing in the last two games without giving goals away."Both teams would have been a little bit sensitive and fragile, whoever concedes the first, yet we should have equalised to be honest."
