    McCarthy impressed by Swans

    29 Oct 2008 - 09:47:41

Manager Mick McCarthy was full of praise for Swansea City after his Wolves side edged a 2-1 victory at Molineux to return to the top of the Championship table.

A Sylvan Ebanks-Blake double strike gave Wolves the three points, but they were made to fight all the way by an impressive Swans side.

McCarthy told his club's official website: "It might have been another case of winning ugly a bit, but a win's a win.

"I was really worried about this game because Swansea are a very good team. They've got a way of playing and do it as well as anybody I've seen, their players look comfortable with the ball and want to pass it.

"In the first half I thought we dealt with it particularly well, but in the second as the game got stretched it probably suited them a little bit.

"Of the teams we've played so far Reading were probably the best, but Swansea were excellent.

"Maybe they haven't got the firepower that Reading have got, but they are still a very good side."
