McCarthy blasts boo-boys
21 Oct 2008 - 07:32:50
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has slammed the fans who booed Andy Keogh during the victory against Coventry City, a result that lifted the club back to the top of the Championship table.
McCarthy accepts that the striker was not enjoying the best of fortunes but has urged the boo-boys to stay away from Molineux in the future.
He blasted: "Anyone who's booed him, get off his back because they're driving me mad.
"If they want to boo him, don't come. It's a disgrace. He didn't have his best game but leave him alone and let him play his football.
"It's not going to help him. Does he want to perform for us? Of course he does.
"It'll drive him insane. We can all see he's having a tough time but, bloody hell, encourage him."
