Wolves manager Mick McCarthy admitted his side had been extremely fortunate to beat Derby County 3-2 at Pride Park on Monday.
Wolves produced one of their poorest displays of the season but are now on the verge of sealing promotion to the Premier League thanks to Andy Keogh's late winner.
A relieved McCarthy said: "It shows that a team on a winning streak can get a bit of luck and maybe earn a bit of luck. That was horrible, but we won.
"Maybe the fans expect more from Andy Keogh and we do as well. They get frustrated because they don't think he's playing well but he always works hard and everybody at the club loves him.
"He thoroughly deserved his goals and everyone was delighted for him."
