Gillingham chairman Paul Scally says that Charlton Athletic have shown an interest in rising Gills star Matt Jarvis.
The 20-year-old wideman is out of contract at Priestfield this summer and has rejected the offer of a new contract from the League One club, with Nottingham Forest and Plymouth Argyle both showing an interest.
However, Scally now claims interest from higher up in Jarvis, who has scored 16 goals in 116 Gills appearances.
"We have had interest from Charlton, which I'm discussing with his agent," Scally told BBC Radio Kent. "But that's as far as it's gone.
"If he continues his development, I believe he'll play for England within the next three or four years."
