Iwelumo eyes final day return

Wolves striker Chris Iwelumo hopes he can return to action before the end of the season.

The Scotland international has been sidelined since suffering a knee ligament injury in the defeat to Birmingham City earlier this month.

"I've certainly not ruled anything out and am looking on the positives of trying to be fit maybe for the last match," he told the club's official website.

"I'm due for injections and, if the reaction's good, I'll be able to start stepping things up.

"I've done bits and pieces in training, all very light and not too strenuous, but it's going well. It would be great to be involved in some capacity and that's what I'm aiming for."
