Injury woe for Edwards

Wolves defender Rob Edwards could be sidelined for up to six weeks after suffering a knee injury in a reserve team game at Walsall.

The 24-year-old former Aston Villa trainee has dropped out of the first-team picture at Molineux this season, although he has featured in the Carling Cup games against Bradford City and Morecambe.

"Rob has damaged his medial ligament which normally means four to six weeks recovery," boss Mick McCarthy told the club's official website.

"It's a disappointment for him but he'll work hard to get back."
