Hahnemann ready for Wolves battle
The American joined the newly-promoted Premier League side on a free transfer this summer after being released by Reading. Former Fulham player Hahnemann was a first choice during his time at the Madejski Stadium and he has set his sights on becoming a regular with Wolves. The 37-year-old recognises he faces tough competition from Wayne Hennessey and Carl Ikeme, while Matt Murray fights for fitness, but he is desperate to play. He told the Sunday Mercury: "I'm here for the team to do well, but I need to play. "That's one of the reasons why I came here because I wanted to play and it's a chance to get back in the Premier League. "If Wayne plays I'm going to be pushing him all year, there's nothing I can do about that, but I want to play. "I'm not used to sitting around on the bench and I didn't really like it when I did that at Fulham. "I tried to change that but it didn't quite happen for me and eventually I got my move to Reading and I did find my spot. "It is a different situation for me that I haven't been in for a while, but it's going to be a great challenge."
