Freddy prepared to battle

Wolves striker Freddy Eastwood has vowed to battle his way back into the starting eleven at Molineux, having been withdrawn at half-time of the 3-0 defeat at Ipswich Town.

The 24-year-old Wales international was making his first start for well over a month, but failed to impress at Portman Road after missing an early penalty.

Eastwood said: "The gaffer hasn't said anything to me, but he's the manager of the football club and can change things when he likes.

"All I can do now is work hard in the week and knuckle down and it's up to the manager as to whether he plays me.

"I'm sure he's disappointed with me and I'm disappointed I came off, but it's one of those things and I'll just knuckle down and try and get back in the team again.

"I want to be playing in the first team and scoring goals."

Eastwood has scored four goals in 11 appearances for Wolves since his summer arrival from Southend United.
