Former Colchester United defender George Elokobi will have to prove himself in Wolves' reserve side as he attempts to force his way back into Mick McCarthy's first-team plans.
The 23-year-old has started five Premier League matches this term but, after a string of below-par displays, was dropped for Saturday's home defeat to Arsenal.
Richard Stearman was preferred at left-back for the game against the Gunners while Elokobi will have to prove his worth in a reserve team encounter against Birmingham City's second string.
Team-mate Dave Edwards is convinced the Somalia-born Elokobi will bounce back though, telling the Express & Star: "Of course George can come back.
"Anyone who knows him knows what a bubbly character he is. He started last season in brilliant form only to get unlucky with his injury.
"He's done very well and was unfortunate to be out of the squad against Arsenal. But he'll bounce back because he's mentally very strong and he'll carry on."
