Elokobi blow stuns Wolves

Wolves have received a major injury blow with the news that defender George Elokobi will miss the remainder of the season with serious knee ligament damage. The Cameroon-born left-back suffered the blow in the second half of last weekend's 2-1 Championship victory at Ipswich Town. "George has damaged multiple ligaments in his knee," medical department head Steve Kemp told the club's official website. "It's been scanned and we know some parts are damaged and others are torn or strained. "He's having the operation next week and the important thing for us is to get rid of all the fluid in the joint to ensure the surgeon can produce the best results. "We'll know more after the surgery but George is definitely out for the season and his target will be next pre-season."
