Edwards pens new Wolves contract

Wolves midfielder Dave Edwards has signed a new three-year deal with the Premier League newcomers. Edwards, 23, was recruited from Luton in January 2008 and played a major part in the club's promotion last season as they claimed the Championship title. "It's great to get it done on the first day of pre-season," Edwards told the Wolves website. "To know I'm here for another three years and that the manager wants me is something I'm very proud of."
